THE PROJECT
The challenge
THE CONTEXT
Years of chronic underfunding had created mounting frustration across the social care sector. Providers and frontline professionals needed a stronger collective voice to ensure the realities facing care and support were heard at national level and reflected in political decision-making.
BUYER CONSULTING'S ROLE
Turning sector frustration into collective action
Victoria was asked to help mobilise the third sector at a national level. She helped push Providers Unite as a grassroots campaigning and lobbying movement, bringing organisations and frontline professionals together around a shared call for recognition, sustainability and lasting change.
HOW WE WORKED
From strategy to action
01
Work undertaken
Buyer Consulting helped create and mobilise Providers Unite as a national grassroots campaigning and lobbying movement. The work focused on building momentum around a shared message, amplifying the sector’s concerns, supporting political engagement and mobilising frontline professionals around a coordinated call for recognition, sustainability and reform.
This included developing the campaign’s public voice, strengthening engagement around its priorities and helping turn widespread frustration across the sector into visible, organised action.
02
Collaboration
The campaign brought together providers, National and Local Care Associations and frontline professionals around a shared agenda for social care reform.
Direct engagement with 70 MPs helped carry sector priorities into the political conversation, while thousands of frontline professionals were mobilised to rally at Parliament in February 2025 and at the Labour Party Conference in September, creating a collective platform for recognition, sustainability and lasting change.

OUTCOME
What changed
Providers Unite developed from a response to sector frustration into a recognised national movement for social care. It created a stronger collective platform for providers and frontline professionals, helped bring their concerns into political discussion and demonstrated the sector’s ability to organise around a shared call for reform.
The campaign also strengthened the visibility of the pressures facing social care, building momentum around sustainability, recognition and fairness while giving the sector a more coordinated national voice.
WIDER IMPACT
Why it mattered
Providers Unite demonstrated the power of coordinated sector action at a national level. By bringing providers, frontline professionals and representative organisations together around a shared message, the campaign significantly increased the visibility of the pressures facing social care and created a stronger platform for engagement with decision-makers.
The movement built momentum beyond the sector itself, amplified the experiences of those delivering and relying on care and support, and strengthened the collective call for greater recognition, sustainability and fairness in social care.
CLIENT PERSPECTIVE
Buyer Consulting brought clarity, energy and momentum to a complex challenge. Their ability to bring people together, turn frustration into coordinated action and keep the focus on meaningful outcomes made a real difference to the campaign.
